Garry has convinced me that English (or foreign language) lessons can be a really pleasant experience. The stress, nervousness and the fear of making mistakes when talking has left right after the first couple of lessons. I have improved my vocabulary and even my pronunciation when singing English songs. I had been thinking about choosing the right method of learning English for a long time. Fortunately a friend of mine had recommended Garry. And now I know that it was definitely the best choice.

I have made many attempts to learn English since I was 10 years old. I have attended various courses, I have had learned the vocabulary and grammar from textbooks. I have been doing quite alright with business writing. However, when it came to a face to face meeting with an English speaking person, I have always failed. I was feeling blocked, I was not sure about the correct pronunciation. Garry has totally lifted the block. I learned the right accent and phrases from him. Garry taught me the language necessary for my everyday English conversations. We laugh a lot during the lessons. Garry makes me feel comfortable. One lesson with Garry gives me more than 10 lessons in a language school would give me. I am looking forward to our lessons and my progress.

We have been having English lessons with Garry for over 2 years. Our journey is not easy but it brings results. My boyfriend and I appreciate especially the fact that the pace and topics of the lessons are customized to suit our current needs. Moreover, we are able to have the lessons at times suitable for everyone. As a result, we are not stressed out and we manage to balance all the responsibilities life brings. And what is the best about Garry? He is a native speaker and does not understand Slovak. This makes us express ourselves not only grammatically correct but also clearly in order for Garry to understand us and our jokes (or our attempts to joke). Do not settle for less. Only a native speaker can give you what you need – a fluent conversation on any topic. Garry is really good at that.

I have been looking for a good and professional English teacher for a long time during my studies. I personally think that there are various ways of mastering the English language, for example, going abroad, communicating in English only, or dedicating all you have to the language studies, as I have tried to do. It was impossible to manage everything while studying and working at the theatre at the same time, however, I have found some time. Finally, I succeeded to find the right teacher and his school! Garry Challinor is the best!!! His positive approach will get to you at the very first lesson. Besides not speaking a word of Slovak, what is amazing, he is fully dedicated to your requirements and tries to do his best when working with you. I am satisfied with the other Garry’s teachers as well. A smile, paper, pen and most importantly – the will! You find it all at Garry’s company. Go for it and English will be a piece of cake for you.

After a lot of experience of trying to learn English, I had a chance to have four lessons with Garry Challinor who is an English language teacher in EnglishbyEnglish language school. I was pleasantly surprised to hear his British English. He has a very specific way of teaching with the result of me paying attention throughout the whole lesson but Garry was also able to concentrate on the topic which was being discussed. Each student was intensively and vividly involved in the communication. It was the first time I have come across with the lessons being aimed at correct pronunciation. Homework was very creative and the aim was to make students listen carefully to the language. Personally, I was highly motivated and completely focused thanks to this way of teaching. One word: ‘Wow!’
